1. My Computer does not rocognize the POCKETEC drive


Let’s start by narrowing down the problem.
  1. Plug in and turn on the POCKETEC device.
  2. Open your Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel)
  3. Open the Administrative Tools (Tip: Use CLASSIC VIEW)
  4. Open the Computer Management
  5. Select the Device Manager on the left
  6. On the right, look under the UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS
  7. You will have a USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE listed there
  8. Double click on the USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE. (Don’t have this device listed? Click here)
  9. In the USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE properties window, look at the location. It should read out LOCATION 0 (USB 2.0 STORAGE ADAPTER). If it does not say that, it’s likely you have multiple USB MASS STORAGE DEVICES. Cancel out and double-click on the other one.
  10. Once you have the correct USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE read what the DEVICE STATUS says. Below are the most common messages. Click them to see the corresponding guides.
    a. This device cannot start. (Code 10)
    b. The drivers are not present, not working properly or not installed. (Code 28)
    c. This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
