Code 28
The drivers are not present,
not working properly or not installed. (Code 28)
If you are receiving this message, you’ll need
to re-install the drivers. We recommend doing a clean
install, please do the following:
- Cancel out of the properties window.
- Right-click on the USB 2.0 Storage Adapter.
- Select Remove or Uninstall.
- After the device is removed, restart your computer.
- While the computer is restarting, disconnect the
POCKETEC drive from the computer.
- After the computer restarts, open the Control Panel
(Start > Settings > Control Panel)
- Open the Add/Remove Programs utility
- Depending on the model you have the driver name
will vary please look for the following driver types:
a. TPP STORAGE DRIVER INSTALLATION
b. USB STORAGE ADAPTER (TPP)
c. USB STORAGE ADAPTER v2
d. USB STORAGE ADAPTER v3
e. USB DRIVERS
- Please select the corresponding driver and remove
it. (If you do not have any of the above listed above,
continue to #10).
- Restart your computer.
- After your computer restart, re-connect the POCKETEC
drive and turn it on.
- Insert the driver installation CD if you do not
have the driver installation CD, you can download
the drivers from here.
- Follow the driver installation wizard; once it’s
complete the drive should be working.
