| My Computer does not recognize the POCKETEC drive |

- Plug in and turn on the POCKETEC device.
- Right-click on the MY COMPUTER icon
- Select the Device Manager tab
- Look under the OTHER DEVICES.
- You should have an UNKNOWN DEVICE. (Don’t
have this device? Click
here).
- Right-click on the UNKNOWN DEVICE
- Select Remove or Uninstall.
- Restart the computer after it is removed/uninstalled.
- While the computer is restarting please disconnect
the drive.
- After the computer restarts, open the Control Panel
(Start > Settings > Control Panel)
- Open the Add/Remove Programs utility
- Depending on the model you have the driver name
will vary please look for the following driver types:
a. TPP STORAGE DRIVER INSTALLATION
b. USB STORAGE ADAPTER (TPP)
c. USB STORAGE ADAPTER v2
d. USB STORAGE ADAPTER v3
e. USB DRIVERS
- Please select the corresponding driver and remove
it. (If you do not have any of the above listed, continue
to #10).
- Restart your computer.
- After your computer restart, re-connect the POCKETEC
drive and turn it on.
- Insert the driver installation CD if you do not
have the driver installation CD, you can download
the drivers from here.
- Follow the driver installation wizard; once it’s
complete the drive should be working.
